Dead Space Downfall reduces its space horror aesthetic to a chunk of unpolished planetary rock. Back when Electronic Arts released the original ‘Dead Space’, I happened to download and install the demo. Meet your maker with the 2008 animated horror film from director Chuck Patton & the prequel to the survival horror video game from Electronic Arts, taking place after the limited comic series. Set aboard the planet mining ship USG *Ishimura*, it details the events following the transportation of an artifact called the Marker from the planet Aegis 7, leading to the deaths of nearly everyone on board at the hands of reanimated mutated corpses dubbed the [Necromorphs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Necromorphs).
