The Electron's Swing

A Super-8 documentary featuring Jorge Mautner, Nelson Jacobina, and Banda Palmares, produced by the CineClube FACE collective (at the UFMG School of Economic Sciences). In 1982, Jorge Mautner was in Belo Horizonte to launch his book Panfletos da Nova Era. CineClube FACE was a film collective linked to the university student movement, with a strong history of resistance against censorship and the dictatorship. Filmmakers such as Rafael Conde, Fernando Camargos, Erika Bauer, and Patrícia Moran, among others, were active during this period of political opening.
